From Lemont, Illinois. Telling stories in Tennessee.
I’ve been doing photography and video for a long time now. It has provided not only a career for me, but also an outlet to express my passions. It’s given me experiences I never could’ve imagined. I’ve met people from all walks of life who have entrusted me with the opportunity to tell their story—to give them a voice. It’s a responsibility I take seriously. But there is also the fun side of it. I have interviewed celebrities, covered sporting events, showcased diverse cultures, and learned about so many interesting facets of our world. It’s a fulfilling life.
I am passionate about growing in my craft. I enjoy being creative, finding different ways to capture and to edit the content I gather. I like to be where the action is happening. I am adaptable and able to thrive in whatever situation I’m put in, much because I’ve had to grow that skill due to the nature of my work. Working in news, I am always chasing the next story and adapting to the ever growing needs of the public.
I currently work for WZTV Fox 17 News in Nashville, TN. I’ve been with them for 5 years now. Previously, I worked with WPDE ABC 15 News in Myrtle Beach, SC for 3 years. I currently shoot and edit news stories using a Sony ENG camera and edit using Avid Media Composer. I am well versed in using live equipment including Live U, satellite truck, and have gone live on all major social media platforms. I also have worked with drones, operating the camera on them to capture visuals from above.
I have been lucky to interview many people while doing my job, including Garth Brooks, Tennessee Titans players and coaches, Indy 500 winner Josef Newgarden, among many other prominent figures. I have publicized historic events, such as the Covenant School tragedy as well as the Christmas Day Bombing of 2020, which earned me recognition at the 36th Midsouth Regional Emmy Awards. I take pride in my work and strive to improve my craft every day, trying to make a difference in the world one shot at a time.
